About Dave Surgent
Dave Surgent joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in February 1990, following an 11-year career in the United States Navy. There, he served as a P-3C Orion tactical coordinator and attained the rank of lieutenant commander.

A graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a bachelor of science degree in management, Dave holds Series 6, 63, 65 and 26 securities licenses plus state life, health and property-and-casualty insurance licenses. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ certificant, a member of the Financial Planning Association, Financial Services Institute and GAMA International, an association for leadership development in the financial services industry.

As a First Command Financial Advisor, Dave is committed to helping his clients pursue their financial goals and lifetime dreams by bringing sound financial knowledge and trustworthy advice to a lasting relationship with each individual and family he serves. His areas of focus include:
