To initiate an ACH (Automated Clearing House) payment with First Command Bank, you'd generally follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your First Command Bank online account or mobile app.
  2. Look for an option labeled “Transfer” in the main menu.
  3. Select “External Accounts".
  4. You’ll then be prompted to add a new external account. Plaid will ask for your online banking credentials to securely link your account. Enter your username and password for your bank.
  5. Select Your Account: Once authenticated, Plaid will show you a list of your accounts at your other bank. Select the account you want to use for the ACH transfer.
  6. Verify: In some cases, you might need to verify small test transactions to confirm that you have access to the bank account. If prompted, complete this verification step.
  7. Initiate the Transfer: Now, with your bank account linked, you can initiate the ACH transfer. Enter the amount you want to transfer and follow any other prompts to complete the transfer.
  8. Confirmation: You should see a confirmation once the transfer is initiated. Keep a record of the confirmation for your records.

Remember to always have enough funds in your account to cover the ACH payment to avoid any overdraft fees.
