November 18, 2019

FORT WORTH, Texas – First Command Financial Services, Inc., is proud to team up with the Naval Academy Athletic Association again this football season as part of a long-term sports sponsorship agreement benefiting the midshipmen at the U.S. Naval Academy.

First Command is sponsoring the Nov. 23 game between the Navy Midshipmen and the Southern Methodist University Mustangs. This sponsorship is part of a larger program in which First Command supports the football, basketball and lacrosse teams while also serving as the presenting sponsor for the annual Athletic Leadership Dinner and Sport Spotlight Event.

“First Command is honored to partner with the Naval Academy Athletic Association as a proud sponsor of the athletic program at the U.S. Naval Academy,” said Scott Spiker, chairman and chief executive officer of First Command and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (class of 1977). “We see this agreement as a clear demonstration of our support of the Navy and the Naval Academy. It is also another example of our continuing commitment to programs that matter to service members. We strive to enrich the lives of the men and women of America’s career military at all stages of their careers.”

Naval Academy Athletic Director Chet Gladchuk said "First Command is a first-team most valuable player for our coaches and midshipmen. Their support has helped the physical mission achieve many of our ambitions and cross the goal line on many fronts. This is a partnership we truly cherish and appreciate. Corporate friends like First Command are true friends to our Academy."
