Top financial concerns of federal employees.
Results of First Command’s annual survey of federal employees reveal that 28% of respondents are not at all/not too stressed about the current U.S. economic situation, while 18% are very/extremely stressed. A majority, 53%, say they are only somewhat stressed.
When asked about their top financial concerns, their responses were:
- State of the economy: 50%
- Cost of goods: 48%
- Ability to retire comfortably: 47%
- Cost of health insurance: 42%
- Personal debt: 40%
- Cost of gas: 40%
