It has been a tremendous pleasure having Mr. David Ifflander as our financial advisor!
I look forward to working with Mr. Ifflander and First Command in the future.
I want to thank you for allowing me this opportunity to let David Ifflander’s First Command staff and colleagues know about the assistance he has provided me since 2016.
In 2016, I lost my husband. The company he was working for would not allow me to continue the premiums on his life insurance policy, and so I was not awarded this insurance. I moved on and collected what I could from various small insurance policies and work-generated pots of money. I grew despondent in crisis mode and was unable to see a way in which I could remain solvent. Long-time friends recommended Mr. Ifflander to me, and indeed they had suggested his services throughout our years of friendship.
When I first approached Mr. Ifflander, I was nearly catatonic with fear over my inability to manage the small amount of money I had gathered together. My grief and return to work had only exacerbated my situation.
Mr. Ifflander not only recognized my urgent need for assistance but offered to help me in any way he could. His calm presence and leadership nature of going beyond the norm gave me hope. He offered to go through volumes of paperwork that had been generated from years of work, and personal documents generated when Larry and I married in 1988. During this time, I realized my income was insufficient and below the First Command threshold. When I discovered his decision to continue working with me and that he had already coordinated my account with his senior staff, I was so grateful. I felt truly blessed.
His combination of graciousness and empathy, as well as his impeccable professionalism, have been key to my decision to request he help guide me on my Thrift Savings Plan. I look forward to working with Mr. Ifflander and First Command in the future.
