First Command
Client Stories
The basic financial principles I learned from First Command continue to benefit us 40 years later.
Many years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting First Command founder Carroll Payne. Mr. Payne, a retired Air Force officer, stressed that developing a habit of saving and investing a portion of everything you earn is key to achieving your financial goals. I saw the wisdom of this strategy and became a client.
After several years as a First Command client, I so believed in the company and its commitment to helping military families plan for and pursue financial security that I eventually became a First Command Financial Advisor.
So here we are today. Both my wife and I have worked diligently for 40 years and are approaching retirement. The basic principles I learned all those years ago from Lt. Col. Payne have been reinforced by our First Command Advisors over time. Our current Advisor, David Trammell, follows up regularly to review our financial plan and has continued to meet with us virtually during the pandemic.
We continue to share our positive experience with First Command with family and friends. If you are interested in getting your financial life squared away, I encourage you to talk to a First Command Financial Advisor.
